神奈川県、大阪府および兵庫県などから記録されている。A. nogutiiに非常によく似ているが、第8腹節背板のIS2刺毛（A. casuarinaの解説を参照）がよく発達することで区別できる。ともに枯れ枝に穿たれたカミキリムシやキクイムシなどの孔道から発見されるが少ない。食菌性。

This species has been recorded from Kanagawa, Osaka, and Hyogo prefectures. It is very similar to A. nogutii, but can be distinguished by the well-developed IS2 setae (see the comment on A. casuarina) on the tergite VIII.
